Missouri and Nebraska are really wide

We spent today in the car. For what seemed like a long time. We drove from Danville, MO to North Platte, NE. Nothing really exciting happened...although I did think we had a flat tire when we were driving on NE-2 upon entering Nebraska. Turns out, the road could use repaving.

In 2015, Bronwyn, Joan and Rick Gaskins decided to hit the pause button on their lives and take a sabbatical year. Bronwyn wanted to live in France. Rick wanted to live in Alaska. As a compromise, they spent 11 months in France and are headed to Alaska for two months immediately after they return to the States. (Rick is not a very good negotiator.)

This blog will talk about the cultural shock of going from France to Alaska as well as the experiences of "glamping" along the road to and from Alaska. Along the way we will cover about 12,500 miles, and we will pass through 15 States and 3 Canadian provinces. There are sure to be a couple of good adventures in there somewhere.
